A Little About Me......

Hi! Welcome to my website! My name is Kaci Bays, I was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo.,  and spent the majority of my singing career in Branson, Mo. where I was a back up vocalist for country music legend Mickey Gilley for 16 years.  My home now is in beautiful Tucson, Arizona.  I'm married and we have 2 amazing sons who are 29 and 19.

I am a member of Lonely Street Productions where I perform in, "Honkytonk Sweethearts" and with Robert Shaw in, "The Man In Black" on select dates throughout the year.  I just finished a tour in March this year with One Pulse Entertainment.  The show is called "The 4th Dimension," and I will be joining them in Bloomington, IN. July 1, 2017 in that show and a show called, "Outlaws & Honky Tonks."   I'm also part of a duo, with my friend Ken Martinson.  We perform around the Tucson area and twice a month in a town near Tubac called Tumacacori,  at a great place called, "Wisdom's Cafe." You can also see me perform at some of the local golf courses from time to time!

Here's a little bit of history about how I got started in the music business......

I came from a musical family, both of my parents grew up singing, as well as my aunts and uncles.  I have 4 sisters who all sing, but I only perform with 2 of them in Mesa, Arizona a few times a year.  I moved to Branson, Mo. back in 1992, and landed my first theater gig at the 76 Music Hall.  It was called, "The Frontier Show," thanks to my dear friend and awesome entertainer, Andy Coin who gave me the opportunity!  At the same theatre I had the privilege of meeting a guy who is one of the BEST male country singer/songwriter I've ever heard AND is one of my closest friends, Splinter Middleton.  He hired me to sing in his show, "The Down Home Country Show." I also did a show at Mutton Hollow Amusement Park in Branson for a short time with Eddie Valen, another great talent.  In that same time period,  I was chosen to do a show called, " The Sounds of Branson." A production put together by Bobby Hill in Springfield, Mo.  While working in that show I heard from a band member that Mickey Gilley was auditioning, that he was needing a back up vocalist in his show in Branson.  I went through the audition process and got the job!! That was September of 1994, and I was with him until the end of 2009.  Working for MG was the absolute best experience of my life!  While working for MG, he agreed to let Chubby Checker perform in his theater for 8 shows, and YES... I got to sing back up for him as well!! What an AWESOME experience that was!! Those of you familiar with the Mickey Gilley show will surely remember my friend Joey Riley who lost his life to cancer in July, 2013.  Joey was Mickey's comedian for 20 years and I was honored to be a part of his show, "The Joey Riley Show" for years.  My great friend Mike Nichols, another very talented entertainer who performs now in Eureka Springs, AR., hired me to sing in his show "Mike Nichols & Friends" which was so much fun!  I have truly been blessed over the years... I thank everyone I have ever worked with in each and every show for helping me grow on and off stage, and for the connections that were made to further my career.  There are SO many talented musicians in Branson, Mo. and I am proud to say that not only were they my coworkers so to speak, they're all my friends....

My main style is Country music, from classic to current.  I like to sing all kinds of music, but country is my favorite.  Check out the "Shows" on my homepage where you'll find the dates and times of performances coming up!
